Intel Core i9-12900K Overclocked to Mind Blowing 8.0 GHz
The Intel Core i9-12900K processor is the most intriguing Intel CPU based on Alder Lake processing cores. It has 16 physical CPU cores and 24 threads (8 Golden Cove cores, 8 Golden Cove threads, and 8 Gracemont cores). In the Ashes of Singularity benchmarking software, it totally crushed the AMD’s Ryzen 9 5950X CPU.
Overclocking has been a breeze with the new Intel Core i9-12900K. It was recently cranked up to 6.8 GHz. However, HiCookie, a computer enthusiast, went even further. With a combo with DDR5 (8300 MT/s) RAM, he pushed the CPU to run at mind-blowing 8.0 GHz.
The guy used the Gigabyte Z690 Aorus Tachyon motherboard to accomplish an amazing achievement. Specifically, this motherboard can deliver 105 amps of current at full load to all the PC components. In addition, it’s worth noting that the 8300 MT/s Gigabyte DDR5-4800 (GP-ARS32G62D5) was the only memory module utilized.
That the delay times were 52-52-52-100-127-2.
