Battlefield 2042 Season 1 Won’t Begin Until March 2022.
Battlefield 2042 was released a month ago, and as in other similar multiplayer games, usually, Season 1 begins to roll out at this time, offering players new goals and rewards for beating their opponents rigorously. Battlefield 2042, on the other hand, appears to be taking a different path, and developer DICE has been unusually secretive regarding forthcoming events.
It’s no secret that the new Battlefield hasn’t gone down too well with critics and gamers. They weren’t too impressed with the class system and the overwhelming maps, while bugs and poor optimization also caused troubles and frustration. DICE is working on fixes, but we have not heard of any new content yet, and we may have to wait a few more months.
Temporyal stumbled upon some fascinating facts while conducting his research. For the first 12 weeks, the game is meant to focus on just various weekly tasks, which means Season 1 won’t arrive until March 2022, and we’ll receive a new Exposure map around that time.

🗓️ Season 1 seems to be scheduled for March 2022 (unless they've added a few weeks as "backup").
🇨🇦 "Exposure" is probably the final name for the previously datamined "Ridge" map.

March is a long way off, especially for a game already suffering from a dwindling player base. Battlefield 2042 provided a free trial to gamers last weekend, and while the numbers increased substantially during that time, they have since begun to decline. And who knows how many people will be playing the game next year when a new AAA title will be released almost monthly.
